How Whitetail Pouches Are Manufactured With Precision
Most companies import their product from overseas and slap a label on it. But here in Wisconsin, we do things differently. Let me show you our small-batch process from leaf to lip.
When we started Whitetail in 2017, there was no playbook for crafting premium tobacco alternatives. No videos to watch, no courses to take - we had to invent the entire process from scratch. Today, I'm taking you inside our Wisconsin facility to show you exactly how we handcraft each batch. While other companies import their products from overseas and slap on a label, we control every single step - from selecting organic leaves to shipping the finished product out the door, all verified through our two-party verification system.
Everything starts with either organic spearmint leaf or organic green tea leaf. We put these through multiple rounds of cutting and sifting to achieve the exact particle size that mimics traditional tobacco. But getting the size right is just the beginning. We then apply a precise humidity-controlled heat treatment to replicate how tobacco is processed in traditional kiln houses. This crucial step is what gives our products that authentic feel and performance that mass-produced alternatives can't match.
Thanks to my background in the e-cigarette industry, we understand how critical precise nicotine measurement is. Every batch goes through our two-party verification system, where we measure each ingredient down to two decimal points in grams. We use only pharmaceutical-grade nicotine and food-grade flavorings, mixing them by hand to ensure they bind properly with the leaf. This precision is why you get consistent strength and flavor in every pinch, every can, every time.
Unlike the big companies that use large machinery to mass-produce millions of cans, we can each batch by hand. Each can is precisely measured to ensure exact amounts of product and nicotine levels. After canning, we label each one by hand, inspect it thoroughly, and tag it with lot codes and dates. Most importantly, our products go from our production facility to your hands within 10 days. We don't let products sit on a cargo boat, then sit on the shelves in a warehouse, then sit on the shelves at a distributer and then sit on the shelves of the convenience stores for months on end like the big manufacturers do.
This handcrafted process might seem excessive to some, but it's the only way to ensure the premium quality our customers deserve.
